Winemakers dinner menu
Oregon winemaker Stephen Webber of Montinore Estate will be in Fayetteville for a special winemaker’s dinner at Greenhouse Grille at 6 p.m. on April 23.
Webber will give a presentation on green winemaking techniques and he’ll pair five Montinore Estate wines with a five-course meal prepared by guest chef Gerald McGuffin.
Webber has worked as a white winemaker for Montinore, a 230-acre vineyard situated in the rich agricultural region of the North Willamette Valley near Portland, Ore. since 2009. He began his career in his native England, where he became interested with wines from the Americas, Australia, and New Zealand.
He will also conduct a wine tasting event at 2 p.m. on April 24 at Liquor World.
McGuffin was the original chef at Basil’s Cafe in Bentonville as well as Gerald’s in Jacksonville, Fla., and was a mentor for Greenhouse Grille chef Jerrmy Gawthrope.
Live music for the event will be provided by Alex Lewis Jazz Trio.
