Over the past few months, the folks at the Arkansas Music Pavilion have been releasing new shows for the summer season faster than you can say ‘Daughtry.’

Coincidentally, they released another artist for the summer lineup a few days ago and it’s Daughtry.

The rock band will be at the AMP for a show on Tuesday, June 19.

For those who aren’t familiar, rocker Chris Daughtry was the fourth-place finisher in American Idol season 5. Since then, he put a band together, and has been kicking the collective butts of everyone else from that season of the show. Taylor Hicks? Child please.

Daughtry is on the edge of releasing their third studio album, “Break the Spell.” Their first two albums, “Daughtry” and “Leave This Town” both reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and both were certified platinum.

Tickets to the show range from $27-$102, and go on sale on Friday, April 13 at 9 a.m. at waltonartscenter.org.
