Leftover Salmon

There’s a big happy hour show with Big Smith at George’s Majestic Lounge, followed by legends of jamming, Leftover Salmon. Leftover has a new record coming out May 22, FYI.

Local singer/songwriter Barret Baber will celebrate the release of his new album Colt Square Sessions on Friday night at Legacy Blues Lounge.

Charliehorse plays the patio at Kingfish with their original lineup on Friday night. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, Cody Russell tells us that the show will likely be moved to LIT.

The Lightbulb Club has Digital Leather and Glory Bones, and Matt Smith Soul Explosion is at Smoke & Barrel.

TheatreSquared will debut a new production this weekend. The Fall of the House is an original play by T2 Artistic Director Robert Ford, and will run through the weekend at Nadine Baum Studios. Here’s the schedule.

Saturday events, April 14

Big Smith

If you missed the opening of the Fayetteville Farmers’ Market last week, you can redeem yourself on the Fayetteville Square this Saturday. It starts at 7 a.m. Everyone’s gonna be there.

There’s a mini-golf tournament / pub crawl happening on Dickson Street Saturday night. It kicks off at 6 p.m. from Clubhaus Fitness, and the proceeds benefit The Miracle League of Arkansas. Here’s some more information.

After a lot of years making a lot of ears happy, and a lot of feet shuffle around the dance floors of Dickson Street, Big Smith will bid farewell to Fayetteville Saturday night. The band announced back in November that they’ll be calling it quits this summer, and Saturday’s show at George’s Majestic Lounge will be their last in town.

Symphony of Northwest Arkansas (SoNA) will hold their last performance of the season, Masterworks III, at Walton Arts Center.

In rock & roll news, Randall Shreve & the Sideshow are at Rogue, Six Hung Sprung will reunite for a show at Smoke & Barrel, and the Lightbulb Club has Teenagers and The Sound Of The Mountain.

Long-time comedian Charlie Wiener is at UARK Bowl for the Sunday night stand-up series.

The Hogeye Marathon is on Sunday as well, and will kick off at around 7:30 a.m. The race will begin and end on the Fayetteville Square, and there’s also a half marathon, some relays, and a 5K happening.
