Dickson Street ‘PUP’ Crawl set for May 19

Mark your calendar, and make a paw print on your dog’s calendar. There’s a pup crawl coming up May 19.

The event, which is basically a pub crawl that folks can bring their dogs to, is a benefit for the Fayetteville Animal Shelter.

Here’s some info we received from organizer Kathleen Stafford:

The premise of the event is similar to a pub crawl, but the participating locations have agreed to allow participants to bring their dogs with them. The participating bars will also be offering drink specials for the event. It will be held Saturday, May 19 from 3-6pm. There will also be an after party at Kingfish from 6-8pm featuring live music, food for people, and treats for the dogs.

The cost is $25 and includes a shirt, a bandanna for your dog, and a drink koozie for the first 50 to register. The after party is an additional $5 and limited to the first 50 people to register for it (due to space constraints at Kingfish). Registration will begin April 7.

A bit more information, including a list of participating pubs can be found at the Facebook event. Advance tickets are available online, as well as in person at the Fayetteville Animal Shelter.
