Monday Events

Mickey Hart

Five young, undocumented immigrants will participate in a unique panel discussion called “Undocumented: Living in the Shadows,” from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Fayetteville Town Center. The panelists were brought by their parents to the U.S. at a young age without proper immigration papers. Three panelists are students who grew up in Arkansas. The other three panelists are recent college graduates who grew up in Massachusetts, New York and Virginia. Their undocumented immigration status makes travel within the U.S. difficult and risky and their ability to seek employment legally impossible.

Also tonight, former Grateful Dead percussionist Mickey Hart is in town for a show at George’s. For those who aren’t familiar, Hart spent three decades performing with the Grateful Dead, and was half of the percussion tandem known as The Rhythm Devils along with fellow drummer Bill Kreutzmann.
