A public tour of the upcoming Frisco Trail extension crossed the construction site of The Grove apartment complex on School Street Monday evening.

Nearly 40 people got a closer look at the planned half-mile extension to Frisco Trail in south Fayetteville last night which included a walking tour of the proposed trail route.

The 2012 Block Street Block Party will feature hot air balloon rides from 5:15 to 8:15 p.m. in the Tables & Ale parking lot.

A celebration is planned for this Saturday night to honor photographer John Moore (aka noir33). Moore’s photos will be on display at LaLaLand alongside live music from several local bands.

A handful of notable bands are headed to Tulsa this summer including Death Cab for Cutie, Bon Iver, Tenacious D, The Chris Robinson Brotherhood, and a KISS/Motley Crue show. Here’s a long list.
