Fayetteville police announced the second in a series of directed traffic enforcements at select areas around town. Officers will monitor traffic on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard between Hill Avenue and One Mile Road.

Resident beer expert J.T. Wampler reviewed Ichtegem’s Grand Cru from Brouwerij Strubbe in his latest installment of “It’s All About The Beer.”

Musician-turned-actor Justin Timberlake is in Fayetteville to emcee the Walmart shareholders meeting at Bud Walton Arena Friday.

Friday events, June 1

Luke Bryan

The Wilson Park pool opens at 4 p.m. today. Admission is free for opening night Friday night. The dive in movie originally set for tonight has been rescheduled for June 8, however, due to “unseasonably cold weather.”

There’s a big old country music show at The AMP Friday night with Luke Bryan, Craig Campbell, and Chance Neal. Wear your boots.

Smoke & Barrel Tavern is hosting Hot Springs-based burlesque troupe, Foul Play Cabaret Friday night, with awesome Hot Springs band, the Holy Shakes. The Holy Shakes will be celebrating the release of their new album, “Feast or Famine.” Tickets are $10 at the door.

George’s Majestic Lounge has a happy hour show with guitar-slinger Jimmy Thackery, and harmonica-slinger RJ Mischo.

Eureka Springs-based Fossils of Ancient Robots are back at Smoke & Barrel Tavern Saturday night, and Kingfish has a free show with Toe Funk Jam Band.

Sunday is a good day for free music. Guitarist Pat Pathoumthong will play at Greenhouse Grille during brunch from around 11 a.m.- 2 p.m.

Singer/songwriter Effron White is at Terra Studios from 1-4 p.m., and The Fayetteville Public Library’s Mountain Street Stage Music Series kicks off at 2 p.m. with old-time fiddle music by Jonathan Trawick and Friends.
