The Razorback baseball team is just two wins away from a trip to the College World Series. They just have to get by some angry bears first.

The Diamond Hogs head to Waco, Texas this weekend for a best-of-three series with the Baylor Bears at 4 p.m. Saturday. The winner of the series will advance to Omaha to compete for the national championship.

The Razorbacks (42-19, 16-14 SEC) are coming off a perfect 3-0 showing in the Houston regional, and appear to be peaking at the right time this season. They face a Baylor team with a consensus top-five ranking, however, and an impressive 48-15 record coming into the matchup with the Hogs.

Arkansas will compete in a Super Regional round for the fifth time in program history, and for the third time in the last four seasons.

Junior right-handed pitcher D.J. Baxendale will start the series opener on Saturday, and sophomore right-hander Ryne Stanek will get the nod for Sunday’s 3 p.m. game. A third game will be played on Monday at 6:05 p.m., if necessary.

Saturday and Sunday’s games will be televised on ESPNU, and the Monday matchup would air on ESPN2.
