REVIEW: Bitter & Twisted

This week’s beer: Bitter & Twisted, English IPA from Harviestoun Brewery in Scotland

The pour of this beer is a brilliant, honey color with minimal head. The aroma is lightly hoppy with malty sweetness.

The taste is of floral hops and bready malt with grassy overtones, and there is a lemon sweetness that catches the front of the taste and follows through to a mellow, fruity finish.

This is a tasty import that is clean, fresh and easy to drink. At only 4.2% alcohol, it would be easy to have several of these brews.

This beer is not for those looking for a punch of hops, but it’s crisp and refreshing with just enough bitterness to give it depth of character.

Pair with pizza, pasta or ribs.
