Get out your fairy wings, magic wands and lightning-bug-catching shoes, everyone. It’s time for the Firefly Fling at Botanical Garden of the Ozarks.

The family-oriented festival is set for Saturday, July 14 from 6 to 10 p.m., and features a host of kid-friendly activities, including a mandala-making station, a bug hunt, a shaker-making station (so kids can play along to the music), a fairy house-making station, and more.

There will also be performances by Shaky Bugs (kids music), Sugar on the Floor (traditional singers), Kaleidoscope Dance Academy (dance), and Night Blossom (“mytho-celtronica” music).

The event also (typically) features a lot of the happiest-looking kids you’ve ever seen running around with wings on their backs, dancing, and waving magic wands and glow sticks around in the warm mid-summer air.

Tickets are $8 for individuals, $24 for families of four, and $40 for groups of six, and will be available for purchase at the gate on Saturday night.
