Library to host Native American Genealogy workshop on July 21

The Fayetteville Public Library and the Washington County Arkansas Genealogical Society will present a free workshop, Native American Genealogy with Gene Norris, at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 21 in the library’s Walker Community Room.

Norris, who is the senior genealogist with the Cherokee National Historical Society, will guide participants through the steps to trace their family tree using birth and death certificates, marriage records, census data, and genealogical databases.

Registration is not required and the event is free and open to anyone interested in tracing Native American roots.
