The festival is set for Oct. 4-7 at various locations around Fayetteville, and will include 49 films from 10 different countries in 2012. Film categories include short films, student films, animation, low-tech/low-budget films, documentaries, narrative features, and films with an Arkansas Connection.

The announcement party is hosted by members of Phunbags Comedy Improv, and will include trailers from official selections for the upcoming festival, as well as musical performances by Farmer and the Markets, Kayleigh Calaway, The Kandi Kids, and DJ Ultrasonic Nozzle.

Admission is $10, beer, soda, pizza, and popcorn will be served, and there will also be a live auction to help raise funds for the film association.
