East Tennessee’s Carolina Story is at Smoke & Barrel Tavern for a free show tonight with Memphis-based band Star & Micey.

If you weren’t one of the 500 people to attend Friday night’s sold out gala and film premiere for Up Among the Hills, there are three free screenings scheduled at the Fayetteville Public Library in November.

Speaking of the Fayetteville Public Library, a series of Halloween-inspired youth activities is planned this week inside the library at 401 West Mountain Street.

The first Fayetteville School Board zone meeting of the 2012-13 school year is at 6 p.m. tonight in the McNair Middle School cafeteria.
