Here are some photos from the second annual Fayetteville Men’s March Against Violence, an annual event held in accordance with Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Organizers said the event is held “as a way for men to commit to non-violence in their families, to give an alternative to those struggling with violence and to show support to our community’s victims of abuse.”

Participants marched along Dickson Street and up Block Avenue before stopping for a brief rally at the Fayetteville Town Center on the square.

Local musician Solomon Simpson played a few songs before organizer Jeff Glover, John J. Ray and Mayor Lioneld Jordan spoke to the crowd.
