A Chick-Fil-A location is now open inside Bud Walton Arena.

The Fayetteville Underground has hired former City of Fayetteville Community Outreach Coordinator Julie McQuade to fill their newly-created business manager position.

A Chick-Fil-A has taken over one of the concession stand spaces, and will be serving up a limited menu before and during home basketball games this year.

Fayetteville band The Great Scotts will celebrate the release of their new album, “Rumble Fear” at a release party Saturday, Nov. 3 at The Stolen Glass.

The Razorback Football team will take on the Tulsa Golden Hurricane on Saturday. Predict the score for a chance to win a free t-shirt from Bearstate Supply.

The next regular meeting of the Fayetteville City Council has been moved from Tuesday Nov. 6 to Thursday, Nov. 8 due to the general election on Tuesday.

The League of Women Voters of Washington County will host a luncheon for anyone interested in meeting current and newly elected legislators at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12 at the Washington County Cooperative Extension Service Auditorium, 2536 N. McConnell Avenue.

Don’t Stop Please

The University of Arkansas homecoming parade will make its way down Dickson Street at 6 p.m. Friday night. Happy homecoming.

Later on, Conway band Don’t Stop Please is back in town for a show at Smoke & Barrel Tavern with Kansas songwriter Tyler Gregory. Don’t Stop Please will also appear on the PBS series “On the Front Row” Friday night at 6:30 p.m.

There’s a local show at Rogue with Revolution Butterfly and The Real Live Vikings, and George’s has rising country star Casey Donahew.

There are several chances to check out “Shrek: The Musical” at Walton Arts Center this weekend. You can check ticket availability here.

The Great Scotts album release

There are only three more chances to visit the Saturday version of the Fayetteville Farmers’ Market on the Fayetteville Square this season. Better get down there on Saturday.

Also Saturday morning, Toucan Jam, a kid-song project by Kelly and Donna from Still On The Hill, are set to perform at Fayetteville Public Library at 10 a.m.

Local rockers The Great Scotts will celebrate the release of their new album, “Rumble Fear” Saturday night at The Stolen Glass. The show is free to attend, and you can pick up one of a limited number of vinyl copies of the record while you’re there. Fayetteville-based band The Riflemen will open the show.

When was the last time you saw Tyrannosaurus Chicken at Smoke & Barrel Tavern? They’re back at the venue on Saturday night.

The Flaming Lips

The Fayetteville Public Library will continue their Beyond the Holocaust film series on Sunday with “Yiddle with His Fiddle,” playing at 1 p.m. in the Walker Room.

Norman, OK band The Flaming Lips will perform at Barnhill Arena Sunday night. The show is put on by the UA Headliners Concert Committee, but last we heard, there were still some public tickets available at waltonartscenter.com.
