Fall 2012 Fayetteville A&P funding requests total nearly $300,000

The fall 2012 Advertising and Promotion Commission funding requests are in and organizers are seeking a total of $293,115 for 25 events or projects in Fayetteville.

That’s about $140,000 less than was requested last fall, but is still over $100,000 more than was actually awarded.

Twice each year, the commission awards funds to groups needing financial help promoting or starting an event. The funds available depend on what’s left over from the commission’s budget which is funded mostly by half of the city’s 2 percent HMR sales tax.
