Arkansas Times seeks bands for 2013 Musicians showcase

If you’re an Arkansas musician, want to get rich and famous beyond your wildest dreams, and if you don’t mind hauling your band mates and equipment to Little Rock a few times this winter, you might be a candidate to enter the Arkansas Times annual Musicians Showcase.

For those who aren’t familiar, the Little Rock-based publication has been putting on the annual series of battle-of-the-bands-style competitions to crown the state’s best up and coming band for over 20 years now.

Past winners include Ashtray Babyhead, Big Cats, 607, and Fayetteville bands The Odds and Grandpa’s Goodtime Fandango.

To enter, fill out this form before Jan. 7, 2013. All acts that have at least four songs of original material are encouraged to enter, and all styles of music are welcome.

Early rounds of the competition will be held in January and February at Sticky Fingers in Little Rock, and the finals will take place in March at The Rev Room.
