A new winter Fayetteville Farmers’ Market will soon debut inside a tent located at the south side of the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks property.

Fayetteville Farmers’ Market officials yesterday announced a new Saturday market that will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. beginning Dec. 15 through March at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks, 4703 N. Crossover Road.

The Fayetteville Public Library is one of 50 organizations to be awarded a $2,500 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities to host a six-week program featuring documentary film screenings and scholar-led discussions of 20th century American popular music.

Members of the Fayetteville Advertising and Promotion Commission on Monday voted to contribute $500,000 to the University of Arkansas to help with construction costs of a planned 700-seat performing arts hall.
