A Fayetteville gentlemen’s club was featured on Anderson Cooper 360’s Ridiculist Thursday on CNN for its holiday-themed toy drive with a twist.

According to the report, Platinum Cabaret on North College Avenue is running a buy one, get one free sale on lap dances called “Toys for Tatas” for patrons who drop off new, unwrapped toys to be donated to Toys for Tots.

“The fine folks at the Platinum Cabaret are putting the pole back in the North Pole this Christmas,” Cooper joked. “I’ll never think of Dancer, Prancer, and Vixen quite the same way again.”

Local Toys for Tots coordinator John Staples said he was not made aware of the promotion, but he seemed to appreciate the gesture.

“As long as it’s done in a legal matter, and as long as people are bringing us new, unwrapped toys, we don’t get into how they were gathered, and what the process was,” said Staples.
