Chamber of Commerce to host second legislative forum on Friday, Feb. 8

The Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce will host the second in a series of forums with area legislators at 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8.

State Rep. David Whitaker, Rep. Greg Leding, Rep. Charlie Collins, Rep. Justin Harris, Sen. John Woods, Sen. Uvalde Lindsey, and Sen. Jim Hendren are all expected to be in attendance to discuss policy issues from the 89th General Assembly.

Patti Kimbrough from the Chamber said about 60 people attended the first legislative forum, held on Jan. 25, and she expects another big crowd on Friday.

“It was standing room only,” she said.

A question-and-answer session with the legislators is included in the program.

Future forums are scheduled on Feb. 22, March 8, March 22, and April 5. Each forum is free and open to the public.

The Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce is located at 123 W. Mountain St. just off the downtown square.
