Anyone interested should meet at 9:30 a.m. at Pack Rat Outdoor Center, 209 W. Sunbridge Drive, for sign-in and free coffee.

Trash pickup will begin at 10 a.m. near Gordon Long Park, just north of Pack Rat on Gregg Avenue. The cleanup will concentrate on the areas near the park, but Pack Rat community organizer Ali Williams said if things go quickly, the event will extend south toward Sycamore Street.

Tools will be provided, but participants should wear work clothes and boots.

Volunteers are asked to stop by Pack Rat after the cleanup at 1:30 p.m. for a raffle and tool drop-off.

The cleanup event is sponsored by Pack Rat Outdoor Center in conjunction with the City of Fayetteville, Keep Fayetteville Beautiful, the Washington County Cooperative Extension Service, Ozark Highlands Trail Association and Ozark Natural Foods.

For more information, call Ali Williams at 479-799-5086.
