One Night of Queen

One Night of Queen, a show by tribute band Gary Mullen and the Works, is at Walton Arts Center Friday night. We heard raves about the show last time they were in town, and this time, it’s completely sold out.

Saturday Events, March 16

St. Patrick’s Day parade

There’s a St. Patrick’s Day parade on Dickson Street beginning at noon. After that, there are a handful of other St. Paddy’s Day celebrations planned on Saturday. Here’s a list we compiled earlier this week.

Fayetteville band SW/MM/NG will return from SXSW in Austin for a show at Smoke & Barrel Saturday night. The band will perform with San Francisco bands Couches and LI XI, and Fort Smith band, Pagiins. Update: Locals Brothel Sprouts are filling in for SW/MM/NG. It’s their first show in about a year-and-a-half.

Pub Crawl t-shirt design

Happy St. Patrick’s day, everyone. Dickson Street businesses are planning their annual St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl on Sunday night. Registration begins at 6 p.m. at Common Grounds where would-be-crawlers can pay a $5 registration fee, and receive a passport listing about 15 participating watering holes. The first 500 folks to visit all the places, get stamps from the bartenders, and return to Common Grounds get a commemorative t-shirt.
