If you’ve visited Dickson Street recently, may have noticed that there’s been some action at 628 W. Dickson St., in the space formerly home to Monroe Boutique.

“What’s going on in there,” you might have thought to yourself. “Is it another burrito place?”

The answer, Little Rock-based women’s boutique E. Leigh’s is expanding to Fayetteville, and the owner Erin Hohnbaum is planning to open a store in the space soon.

E. Leigh’s originally opened on Kavanaugh Boulevard in Little Rock about a year ago. The store specializes in “high quality apparel, handbags, and accessories for the not so average woman.”

Little Rock store manager Reymond Koplen said Hohnbaum was looking to open a second location, and her connections with the area as a University of Arkansas alumna, along with the opportunity to locate close to campus made Fayetteville a perfect place for expansion.

Koplen said the Fayetteville store will carry items geared toward young professionals similar to what the Little Rock Store carries, along with a few items more tailored to University of Arkansas students.

If all goes well, the store should be open sometime in early April.
