An empty lot on the University of Arkansas campus could one day be home to a 150-room hotel and conference center.

The University of Arkansas is looking for a partner to build a hotel and conference center near the heart of campus, UA officials confirmed Wednesday.

The Razorback Regional FIRST Robotics Competition is tonight at Barnhill Arena. This year’s task is called “Ultimate Ascent,” where robots are designed to scoop up and toss flying discs to score points.

The city won’t be paying to demolish the dilapidated Tyson Mexican Original factory in southeast Fayetteville after all. Instead, a metal trader company will pay the city to disassemble and scrap the former plant at Huntsville and Happy Hollow roads.

Gregory Allen Isakov is set to return to Northwest Arkansas for two shows in May, one in Bella Vista and another in Fayetteville.
