The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning until 10 a.m. Thursday and from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. Friday for Northwest Arkansas.

Forecasters say temperatures will fall to or below freezing this morning and tonight as cold air enters the region.

The service warns that these unseasonably low temperatures can kill unprotected plants and other tender vegetation that are left outdoors.

Temperatures are expected to return to the mid-60s for the weekend.
