One of the largest entertainment stores in Fayetteville is going out of business this summer. Hastings Entertainment, in Fiesta Square, will close on June 9.

The Walton Arts Center has booked four 90s bands to play at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Fayetteville on July 24 as part of the 2013 Summerland Tour.

Theatre Squared’s latest, Next to Normal, is a rock musical that “explodes with emotion and never lets up,” says Tobias Wray, in his latest Flyer theatre review.

This week’s scheduled public meetings include the Planning Commission on Monday, a special Parks Recreation and Advisory Board meeting at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks on Wednesday and an Ozark Regional Transit Executive Committee meeting on Thursday.
