Big Piph performing at Anoska Village in Africa.

There’s a big show at Rogue Friday night with Little Rock rapper Big Piph (aka Epiphany), Nick B. and local DJ Purp Loder. There’s a $5 cover, and the show is a benefit for Global Kids Arkansas.

American Idiot, the Broadway musical based on the 2004 Green Day album of the same name, is opening at Walton Arts Center Friday night. Performances scheduled through the weekend. Ticket information is at waltonartscenter.org.

Also, TheatreSquared’s Next to Normal continues this weekend at Nadine Baum Studios, and the Ozark Small Press Poetry Festival will feature readings by some poets from around the country Friday and Saturday night at Nightbird Books.
