Local artist Jason Jones last week began work on a series of murals designed to cover many of the metal utility boxes that stand as eyesores throughout the landscaped gardens on the downtown square.

The Botanical Garden of the Ozarks is planning a $60 million expansion on the undeveloped areas of the garden’s campus, but some residents are concerned about plans to relocate a portion of a soft-surface trail which runs across the garden’s leasehold.

Legendary hardcore punk band Black Flag is coming to Fayetteville this summer.

We tracked down the initial music and entertainment lineup for the 2013 Block Street Block Party, which will include over 40 performances on seven stages.
