UPDATED: Fayetteville Springfest postponed, Foam Fest and Trail Mix still on

Note: See updates below

Fayetteville Springfest has been postponed because of winter weather which hit the area late Thursday night.

The event was set for Saturday on Dickson Street in Fayetteville, but the possibility of more snowfall led to an emergency meeting of the festival’s board Friday morning.

Organizer Doug Allen said the group agreed to postpone the event for “a few weeks” and that a new date would soon be announced.

Two other events – Fayetteville Foam Fest and the Walton Arts Center’s Artosphere Trail Mix Concert Series – were also planned for Saturday near Dickson Street.

Foam Fest organizers said Friday morning that the event could be moved to an indoor venue. We’re waiting to hear back from Walton Arts Center officials on the status of the trail concerts.
