Two injured in Saturday morning Dickson Street shooting

A shooting early Saturday morning on Dickson Street sent two people to Washington Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Fayetteville police

Officers were called to the area of 215 W. Dickson St. at 1:53 a.m. Saturday for reports of shots fired.

As of Saturday afternoon, no arrests had been made in connection with the shooting.

Police Sgt. Craig Stout said anyone with information about the incident should call 479-587-3555.

FAYETTEVILLE POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING

Fayetteville Police Chief Greg Tabor announced today that the Fayetteville Police Department is investigating a shooting on Dickson Street in Fayetteville.

On May 03, 2013, at 1:53 A.M., Fayetteville Police were called to the area of 215 W. Dickson Street for a report of a shooting. Fayetteville Police received a 911 call stating that there was a large disturbance between several black males and shots had been fired. Officers arrived on the scene and began investigating the incident. Soon after the officers arrived at the scene, two victims with non-life threatening gunshot wounds arrived at Washington Regional Medical Center.

Fayetteville Police detectives are aggressively investigating this incident and anyone with information is asked to contact the Fayetteville Police Department at 479-587-3555.

This investigation is continuing.
