The Root Elementary School PTO will host the 12th annual Root Run 5K at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 11 in Fayetteville.
The race is a fundraiser for the school, and helps to provide funding for teacher grants, literacy aids, playground improvements, and other school programs.

In addition to the 5K race, a family fun walk/run is planned, and will begin at 8:45 a.m.
Registration options are $20 for kids 12 and under, and $25 for adults.
