Dickson Street patrons can expect to see more police officers patrolling the area in the coming weekends.

Sgt. Craig Stout said police will have an enhanced presence on the street in response to a shooting that sent two men to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries early Saturday morning.

Dominique Anderson, 19, and Dammion Ulrich, 21, were treated and released from Washington Regional Medical Center on Saturday after being shot in their shoulders during a fight in the parking lot of the Garden Room at 215 W. Dickson Street at around 2 a.m. Saturday.

“We are not anticipating any other problems, but figured the extra police presence might reassure the public,” Stout said Tuesday.

Detectives are continuing an investigation of the incident. Anyone with information should call 479-587-3555.
