The weather was a little weird, but that didn’t stop Fayetteville residents from turning out in droves to sample around 300 beers for the second ever Fayetteville Foam Fest on Saturday, May 4.

Festival organizers on Thursday announced that the event netted $15,000 for local food charity Feed Fayetteville.

“Over 1,100 patrons joined us on a cold, rainy, snowy day to enjoy some amazing craft brews and support a great cause,” said organizer Brandon Karn. “We can only imagine the turnout had the weather cooperated.”

Fayetteville Foam Fest organizers also announced that Springdale-based brewery Core Brewing Company won the popular vote for the People’s Choice competition between local brewers at the event. Local resident Chad Hicks was the winner of a drawing for a New Belgium cruiser bicycle.
