Jaws, E.T., Star Wars, Harry Potter, Superman, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and more. When it comes to making movie music, there is no one who has created more memorable themes than composer John Williams.

This Saturday, May 18 Symphony of Northwest Arkansas (SoNA) will pay tribute to the legendary composer in their final concert of the 2013 season at Walton Arts Center.

The symphony will perform selections of Williams work from all of the above mentioned films, along with others including Saving Private Ryan, Jurassic Park, The Terminal, Rosewood, Schindler’s List, and more.

“We’ll take a journey through some of the greatest film scores ever written,” says Haas. “SoNA’s incredible musicians and singers will deliver an unforgettable sonic experience while you relive decades of glorious memories.”

The concert will also feature the SoNA Singers – the symphony’s ensemble of auditioned choral singers from throughout the region, led by Director Terry Hicks.

The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. in Walton Arts Center’s Baum Walker Hall.

Tickets range from $28-48 for adults, and are on sale now at waltonartscenter.org. Children’s tickets are $5 each with the purchase of an adult ticket, and college student tickets are available for $10 each with a valid student ID.
