It took 10 innings, but the Arkansas baseball team defeated the Ole Miss Rebels 2-1 in second round SEC tournament action.

The Hogs and the Rebels scored a run apiece in the first inning, but both Hogs starter Barret Astin and Rebels hurler Sam Smith settled down after that in an old-fashioned pitchers duel that was still tied 1-1 at the end of the 9th.

Arkansas reliever Jalen Beeks worked a scoreless top of the 10th inning, and after a 1-out double by Razorback left-fielder Brian Anderson, the Hogs loaded the bases, and Anderson scored on a wild pitch by Ole Miss left hander Matt Denny for the victory.

Next up, the Hogs will face the winner of No. 2 seed LSU Tigers and the Alabama Crimson Tide on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. The Tigers and the Tide will square off Wednesday afternoon.
