Memorial Day is approaching, temperatures are rising, and Fayetteville public schools will be out for summer break soon. All of these things mean it’s almost time for summer fun at Wilson Park swimming pool.

The pool will open to the public for the 2013 season beginning at 4 p.m. on Friday, June 7.

As usual, admission is free on opening day this year. After that, regular admission is $2 for kids ages 15 and under and $3 for adults.

Opening day on June 7 will also mark the beginning of the annual Dive-in Movie Series, presented by the Fayetteville Firefighter’s Association. The movie series will kick off with the Dreamworks Animation movie, Madagascar 3. The Dive-In movies will begin at dark, and are free to attend. The move schedule this year is as follows:

June 7 – Madagascar 3
June 21 – Little Rascals
July 19 – Wreck-it Ralph
Aug. 2 – Little Giants
