The 10th anniversary edition of the Wakarusa music and camping festival got off to a wet and slow start on Thursday. But despite the storms and resulting ankle-deep mud on much of the festival grounds, the music resumed and the thousands of fans who showed up seemed as happy as always.

Rogue on Dickson is set to soon reopen under new ownership as The Phoenix Club. Sarah and Chris Varga, owners of Sideways, Bugsy’s, and Ryleigh’s, along with partners Travis Smith and Ryan Smith will operate the new business.

This week’s public meetings include the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, City Council, the Fayetteville Forward Green Economy Group and more.

The Arkansas baseball team’s offense got off to a hot start last night, but the Hogs’ bats went cold after the first inning, and the Razorbacks were eliminated from the NCAA tournament after a 4-3 loss to Kansas State.
