Walton Arts Center’s Art of Wine set for June 13-15

If you’re a wine lover living in Fayetteville, there’s almost zero chance you’re not aware that the Walton Arts Center’s annual Art of Wine Festival is set to begin.

Just in case, though, here’s your reminder.

The event, featuring three days of wine dinners, tastings, and education events around the magical fermented grape, will take place at the Walton Arts Center June 13-15.

The fun begins with the Winemaker’s Dinner at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 13 on the stage at Bam Walker Hall. The dinner will include a five-course meal by Chef William Lyle, a special dessert created by Ghirardelli’s Chocolatier Steve Genzoli, and of course, interesting wine parings with each course. The event will also include a silent auction featuring a guitar autographed by Wynonna Judd, custom blown glass art from Riley Art Glass Studio in Hot Springs, large format bottles of wine. Tickets to the dinner are $200 per person.

Friday’s festivities include the Uncorked! Wine Tasting, featuring more than 400 wines from around the world and food from some great local restaurants for $80 per person.

The Premier Tasting is at 6 p.m. on Saturday night, and features some elite wines such as Opus One, Dom Perignon, Honig and Mondavi. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will also be served. Tickets are $150 per person.

An Art of Wine After Party is scheduled for 9 p.m. at Starr Theatre, featuring more food, wine, and live entertainment for $75 per person.
