Award winning children’s entertainer Farmer Jason will perform a free concert at the Fayetteville Public Library at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 10.

The acclaimed singer-songwriter, also known as Jason Ringenberg of the 1980s country punk band Jason and the Scorchers, began performing children’s music in the early 2000s shortly after starting his own family. He released his first album geared toward children, titled A Day at the Farm in 2003.

Since then, Farmer Jason has found success both as a touring artist, as well as on television. His show on Nashville Public Television, It’s a Farmer Jason, won an Emmy award in 2009, and was nominated again in 2010.

His music focuses primarily on entertaining and educating children about farm life and the wonders of nature.

The July 10 show will take place in the library’s Walker Community Room.
