Arkansas releases 2013 Razorback football trailer, new center update

As of this very moment, there are 56 days, 13 hours, 34 minutes, and 8 seconds remaining before the start of the Bret Bielema era of Arkansas football, when the Razorbacks kick off the 2013 season against Louisiana.

The UA athletics crew this week released the official trailer for the 2013 season, and as Doc Harper noted, it’s pretty epic.

They produced it as if it’s actually the latest installment of some sort of fantasy action saga.

Football center update

With the first game less than two months away, it looks like the team’s new home away from the field is just about ready.

The Fred W. Smith Football Center is nearing completion and according to UA officials, all that’s left are some finishing touches and the delivery of furniture and other amenities.

The new facility will house locker rooms, meeting rooms, training rooms, equipment rooms, a players lounge and study area, coaches offices, a recruiting reception area and a football museum.

The center is part of an estimated $40 million project that also includes two outdoor practice fields atop a 225-space parking deck at Razorback Road and Meadow Street just south of Razorback Stadium.

Head over to the UA’s YouTube channel for a video released today which shows the progress on the new football center.
