Former Arkansas guard BJ Young has signed a three-year contract with the Houston Rockets, reports Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.

Young left the Razorbacks with two seasons of remaining eligibility, but was not selected in last month’s NBA Draft. He worked out for the Philadelphia 76ers and the Los Angeles Lakers in June before signing as a free agent with the Rockets’ summer league team, where he averaged 11.8 points in four games against Utah, Boston, Brooklyn and Oklahoma City.

Young joins former Razorback Patrick Beverley and recently signed free-agent superstar Dwight Howard on the Rockets’ roster.

Young’s teammate, Marshawn Powell, who left Arkansas with one year of eligibility remaining, recently signed with Ferro-ZNTU in the Ukraine.
