Street work is expected to close traffic in two areas of Sang Avenue this week in Fayetteville.

The first closure will occur from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday (July 15-16) from Wedington Drive to Cleveland Street while crews work to mill the roadway and lay new asphalt. The roadway will be striped at a later date.

The second closure begins at 6 a.m. Wednesday, July 17 and lasts through 4 p.m. Friday, July 19 when crews close Sang Avenue from West Berry Street to Ora Drive to replace an asphalt speed table with a poured concrete table. Signs will direct motorists around the work area.

Residents will have access to their driveways at all times, but should expect some delays, according to a city news release.
