Township Street will close for two weeks between Old Wire and Crossover roads while city crews work to repave the one-mile stretch of road.

Work begins at 6 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. weekdays through Aug. 2. The street will be open at night and on Saturday and Sunday, according to a news release.

The Gulley Park parking lot off Township Street will be closed during work hours, but will be open for Thursday’s Gulley Park Summer Concert Series performance by Jason D. Williams. The Old Wire Road parking lot at Gulley Park will remain open at all times.

Residents in the construction site area will have access to their homes, but other drivers are asked to go around Township using North Crossover Road and Old Wire Road.
