Seattle band and Sub Pop recording artist Rose Windows and Oklahoma City-based Stardeath and White Dwarfs are coming to Fayetteville next month.
Both bands are set to play Sept. 12 at the Lightbulb Club on Block Avenue.
Rose Windows describe themselves on Facebook as “hard hitting hippies” playing “insufferable psychedelic garbage,” which is not at all true (well, the insufferable part isn’t true). Their music is a bit on the psychedelic side, however, with droning organ, riffy guitars layered with group vocals, and Eastern influence. Occasionally, a tasteful flute makes its way into the mix.
The band released their debut album Sun Dogs earlier this summer, which garnered a 3.5-star rating by Consequence of Sound.
It will be at least the second trip to Fayetteville for Stardeath and White Dwarfs. The band, fronted by Dennis Coyne who is the nephew of Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne, played to a packed house at the Lightbulb Club last May.
Advance tickets go on sale on Friday, Aug. 9 exclusively at the Lightbulb Club for $8 (ask the bartender for info).
