A school board election takes place today, Tuesday, Sept. 17, in Fayetteville.
There is one contested race on the ballot. Incumbent Susan Winborn Heil faces James McGinty for one of two at-large seats on the board.

The League of Women Voters of Washington County conducted interviews with each candidate, and posted the responses from Heil and McGinty.
Voters can check registration information and find polling places at voterview.ar-nova.org. Polling places are also listed on the county’s website.
Polls close at 7:30 p.m.
