Friday Events, Sept. 20

One of the best things about Bikes, Blues & BBQ as far as we’re concerned is the barbecue part, and one of the festival’s signature events is happening Friday night at the Washington County Fairgrounds. The People’s Choice BBQ Competition will kick off at 6 p.m., and for $6, you can taste delicious barbecue from some of the best cooks in the country. It’s best to get there early, though. Only 300 tickets will be sold.

Tunes-wise, locals Earl & Them and Isayah’s Allstars at Kingfish, Steve Pryor and Andy Frasco at George’s, and Shawn James and the Shapeshifters at Smoke & Barrel are our picks for most likely to freak out visiting bikers with their skills Friday night.
