AT&T said Thursday that Arkansas football fans should notice “an enhanced mobile experience” at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville.

According to a news release, the company has recently expanded its mobile coverage by installing an upgraded 4G LTE Distributed Antenna System (DAS) in multiple locations throughout the stadium. DAS systems are designed to provide a more efficient management of wireless capacity in heavily-trafficked areas, such as football stadiums.

“When our customers head out to the stadium to cheer on the home team, we want them to have a great network experience throughout the game no matter what they’re doing,” said Ed Drilling, president of AT&T Arkansas.

Arkansas AD Jeff Long said it’s important to engage fans through wireless devices, especially during games.

“Fans want to be able to immediately share those special moments during Razorback games with friends and family – whether that’s by sending a photo, a video, a text message, or making a call,” said Long.

The next home football game is a matchup against South Carolina at 11:21 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12 in Fayetteville.
