William Vowell and Sherri Porter-Tipton announce the engagement of their daughter, Natalie A. Vowell, to Robert Vroman, son of Bob Sternberg and the late Amy Sternberg.
The couple met online in early 2013 and had their first date in a North St. Louis dive bar.
The bride-to-be, originally from Fayetteville, AR, studied computer science and music theory at the University of Arkansas. Currently, she is heavily involved in grassroots community improvement projects, the local music scene, and non-profit/charity causes in St. Louis.
The future groom, a St. Louis native, studied economics at more than one local institution before receiving his degree from Webster University. He operates a real estate business based in North St. Louis and is highly active in local and state-level politics.
A January 2014 “guerrilla” wedding is planned at an undisclosed location, and the couple will live in St. Louis…for now.
