A Fayetteville High School student has achieved a top score on the ACT college entrance test.

Peter Gea, a junior at FHS this year, scored a perfect 36 on the exam.

He becomes only the fourth FHS student in the last four years to achieve the honor. Seniors Tony Li, Macy Manning, and Gea’s sister Katherine Gea are the other students to achieve the perfect score since 2010.

While the actual number of students earning a score of 36 varies each year, only about one-tenth of 1 percent achieve a top score.

Fayetteville Public Schools announced Gea’s score on Facebook Wednesday.

Congrats on the rare achievement, Peter.
