Friday events, Nov. 1

There’s a big show at the Walton Arts Center Friday night with classic rockers, The Doobie Brothers. The show starts at 8 p.m., and there are no tickets left for sale online.

If you didn’t get enough Halloween Thursday night, there’s a tribute to the Misfits called RATTFINK at The Lightbulb Club Friday night. There’s also a costume contest.

The Eli Young Band / Eric Paslay show at George’s Majestic Lounge Friday night is totally sold out, but last we heard, there were still a few tickets let to the Saturday night show.

Saturday events, Nov. 2

The first ever Kessler Trail Run, featuring 10k and 20k runs on 387 acres of trails and forest lands on Mount Kessler, is set for Saturday, Nov. 2. The runs begin at 9 a.m. at 1725 Smokehouse Trail at the base of Mount Kessler, and while space in the 150-person race is already sold out, attendees can still show up for the 11 a.m. after-party featuring a shrimp boil, homemade pizza, hamburgers, local beer, and music by Air Loom. The last Razorback football game of the year in Fayetteville is on Saturday, when the Hogs take on former Arkansas offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn and the Auburn Tigers at Razorback Stadium. Kick off is at 5 p.m., and the game will be televised by ESPN2.

Music-wise, Benjamin Del Shreve is back in action this weekend with a show at The Phoenix, and Joplin, Missouri band Me Like Bees is town for a show at Smoke & Barrel.

Sunday events, Nov. 3

Refresh Fayetteville, a fundraiser for public art projects in Fayetteville is set for Sunday at 5 p.m. at Greenhouse Grille. The event will feature live music by Fork and Knife, Cutty Rye, and Candy Lee and the Block Street Hot Club. A silent auction is also planned and will feature custom spray paint can sculptures to be painted by 25 local artists. Here’s more info about the event.

Tunes-wise, Devil’s Promenade is at Maxine’s for Sunday Service this week, and locals Cutty Rye and Foley’s Van are at George’s.
